Windows Azure

In this past Windows Event I learned about a cloud platform which enables you to quickly build, deploy and manage appplications within a global network of Microsoft managed data centers . It's not well known since it's been out for only three years. It provides an infrastructure that scales and adapts to changing your business needs. They basically help give you a better performance and a lot of support. They are located in San Antonio, Virginia California and Chicago. Where the one in Chicago is the biggest. I also learned that I can make web sites out of Windows Azure. On my free trial, I can make up to ten web sites. The way this was set up, was like Windows Virtual PC.(XP mode)This event actually made me understand virtualization even more. I enjoyed being a part of it.

Our Creation by Eva and I

In this diagram what Eva and I had to do was to create a network plan. It was a bit difficult but we managed to sum it all up. We have our cloud which is the center including the ISP. With this we connected lans, T-1 wans, switches, routers and PCs. I had fun putting this all together. I didn't really think you needed all this information and devices in order to create a network plan.

Technology

http://www.slashgear.com/microsoft-facing-eu-browser-fine-by-end-of-march-claim-insiders-01272020/

I don't think it's right for the European Union to give a huge fine to Microsoft. Just because of the browser? Well I think if they don't like it. , EU should create their own. Microsoft is providing us internet explorer. and yes it caused a glitched on 28m PCs but that was just a technical error. But what does EU do? Instead of making fines? I haven't seen them create something better.

Activites

The hands on activity I've done, was to work on a computer. Israel, Martin and I had to remove the power supply and install a new one. It was a bit difficult to remove the pins, but we managed to get things done.
The image on the right , shows Israel trying to unscrew the screws in order to get the power supply out.
Israel.
I learned that the motherboard holds 24 pins. The CPU holds 4 pins. This helped me remember the things I had to know.

Recently

Within these past weeks I have learned a lot. With the activities , it didn't look like it was that much fun but as I walked through the activity I was having fun. Like when I was playing the games my classmates created. I learned a lot more. and the things I thought I knew, I ended up forgetting about that, but this helped me regained my knowledge back.
When working on the test out and then working on actual computers. Its not that bad as I thought. Not hard but not to easy, its a challenge at times, but its entertaining.
